As part of the inaugural Boston New Music Festival, Transient Canvas presents a program highlighting the breadth and variety of the Boston new music scene. The composers featured on this concert are all close friends and collaborators who represent the vibrant and inclusive community that makes Boston such a wonderful artistic home. Phil Pierick and Kurt Galván play 21st century music for saxophones and piano by Zach Sheets, David Clay Mettens, Anna-Louise Walton, Jonn Sokol and more. My band, Zyzzyx, closes the night with free improv on guitars, bass clarinet, trumpet, and trombone. Details HERE.

Chamber Cartel's concert is on Friday, April 7, 8 pm at the Midtown Players Club (1197 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta 30361). There's plenty of deck parking available and plenty of seating too! So bring a friend and come listen to so awesome music performed by your friendly neighborhood Cartel.
Virtuoso violinists Sharan Leventhal and Nicole Parks (my wife) premiere my new violin duo For The World Is Hollow And I Have Touched The Sky, along with premieres of new works by Steven Snowden and others. Plus other collaborators on the concert include marimbist, Nancy Zeltsman (Marimolin) and hip hop dancer Duane Lee Holland, Jr. This project is supported by a Faculty Collaboration Grant from Berklee College of Music. Transient Canvas performs my piece Have-Not, along with pieces by Dan Van Hassel, Lee Hyla, Kieth Kirchoff, David Ibbett, & others. The beer pairing for this event a rustic farmhouse saison, brewed with oats, spelt, and rye, and fermented with brett. Yum!!!
